ACER ASPIRE ONE D250 KEYBOARD NOT WORKING But mistakes could be made and she might have done something from the normal routine.
I played with it for hours and finally got it to click on her username but it would not let the password area drop down.

I can use a USB external keyboard right from the start but no keyboard on the netbook.
Esc and the keyboard doesnt work and just to complicate life the external usb keyboard doesnt have an FN key anyway.

Remove the two screws from the bottom of the computer that are holding down the Acer Aspire One D250 Keyboard bezel.
You will see the ribbon attached to the underside of the Acer Aspire One D250 Keyboard.

Carefully pull the ribbon out of the connector and remove it along with the entireĀ Acer laptop keyboard.

I have an Acer aprire On D250 and recently due to a short i have replaced its motherboard for another used one i bought.
The system started up Xp normaly theres the mouse arrow but the touchpad doesnt work at all.
I borrow a working acer aspire one D250 touchpad from a shop and replaced my acer tuchpad with it and still dint work.
Also I noticed in control panel device manager that theres nothing relative to the touchpad.
Then unplug the keyboard and blow any dust or muck off of the connector and reconnect it FIRMLY.
